Job Title: Teacher – Secondary Extended School Year (ESY) Summer School
Reports to: Secondary ESY Summer School Principal
Summer School Work Days: June 16 - July 24, 2025, Monday - Wednesday 1st week, Tuesday - Thursday all
other weeks, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
2 Staff Development/Teacher Prep Days – June 12 (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) and July 24 (12:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
1st two weeks in July are off
Salary: $35/hr
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide quality instruction for the Frisco ISD Extended Year Program (ESY) based on identified student needs, IEP, and ESY plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Teacher certification
Special Education certification
Experience:
Current employee of Frisco ISD with anticipated continued employment for the 2025-2026 school year
Special education teaching experience preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Develop and/or implement lesson plans that are reflective of individual student needs based on the goals and objectives of their IEP and ESY plans.
Coordinate the daily schedule of support staff to meet individual student needs.
Engage in regular and timely attendance for the duration of summer school.
Secondary ESY – Summer School Work Days:
Staff Development June 12 (8:30 am - 12:30 pm)
June 16-18 (Monday – Wednesday)
June 24-26 (Tuesday – Thursday)
July 15-17 (Tuesday – Thursday)
July 22-24 (Tuesday – Thursday)
Staff Development July 24 (12:30 am - 3:30 pm)
Summer School Hours:
Staff Hours: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Student Hours: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
