Job Title: Curriculum Writer - Secondary Capstone, ISM, and AVID
Reports to: Designated Teaching and Learning Coordinators
Dept/School: Secondary Teaching and Learning

Salary: $35/hr
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Develop and design new and revised curriculum, assessment, and instructional resources under the guidance of the Frisco ISD Teaching and Learning Department. The purpose in developing the curriculum is to provide educators with clarity around standards, pacing, and instructional expectations in order to support and inform teams’ planning for learning.

Experience:
Teaching experience in content area
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Demonstrate the pedagogy of teaching and the ability to select appropriate instructional strategies.
Utilize strong interpersonal skills.
Follow District curriculum philosophy.
Maintain focus and effectively manage time during curriculum writing sessions.
Actively participate in District and campus professional learning throughout the year.
Appropriately represent and communicate District curricular plans at campus level.
Exhibit flexibility and willingness to adapt and change based on student needs.
Research best practices, pedagogy, content, and curricular resources.
Evaluate curricular and instructional needs.
Develop, create, and edit curriculum documents and assessments
Work Hours:
Hours will vary by content. Content coordinators will communicate specific hours.
Work Days:
Work Days will vary by content. Projects will begin in May and run through June. Specific dates will be communicated by coordinators.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
