  •   Primary Purpose:
    Under the supervision of the campus principal, and in coordination with the Director of Assessment and Accountability, coordinates and implements all the state and federal mandated assessments, and programmatic testing as assigned. 

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
    Valid Texas Teacher Certificate 

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Demonstrates organizational skills, which utilize problem solving and adaptability for creating and maintaining a positive orderly, learning/working environment for assessment purposes.
    • Ability to improve teacher effectiveness during assessment
    • Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
    • Demonstrates effective, written and oral communication skills; facilitate implementation of policies, and procedures as it relates to testing program(s).
    • Having a working knowledge and understanding of state assessment requirements. 
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Experience:
    Three years’ experience as a classroom teacher
    Experience administering state assessments

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:
    Program Planning and Management:

    1. Responsible for the organization, training, implementation of the assessment program for the campus. 
    2. Plan and provide training for teachers, administrators, and staff in test security and all aspects of test administration as required. 
    3. Be proficient in the use of various databases related to test administration and monitoring of students’ demographic results (SKYWARD/ETS/PEARSON/TELPAS Training Center).
    4. Verify staff meet requirements to be test administrators.
    5. Collaborate with designated campus administrator and department chairpersons in the efficient administration of all student assessments. 
    6. Disseminate information regarding current changes related to the state and national assessments. 
    7. Comply with all state and federal assessment reporting guidelines.

    Communication:
    8. Serve as campus resource for all assessment expectations/procedures.
    9. Interpret testing procedures and regulations for campus personnel.
    10. Attend all assessment trainings as directed by the Principal and Director of Assessment and Accountability. 
    11. Liaison between campus and the Director  of Assessment and Accountability for proper implementation of assessment guidelines and criteria.
    12. Liaison with Special Education, LPAC, 504, and MTSS committees on testing program requirements and student accommodations. 

    Other:
    13. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    14. Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and special events as needed.
    15. Be punctual in all areas.
    16. Maintain a positive attitude.
    17. Be a positive role model for all students.
    18. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent interruptions and deadlines
    Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, reaching, and twisting
    Motion: Frequent walking; climbing stairs and/or ramps, repetitive computer work with frequent use of hands and wrists, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity and distinguishing colors
    Lifting: Regular lifting and carrying (20-30 pounds); testing materials, textbooks, and equipment
    Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer, phone systems, video/instructional equipment, peripherals
    Environment: Work inside from school, home, or location other than school building, may work outside; regular exposure to noise and computer monitors
