Job Summary:
Estes Park School District is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable CTE Auto Mechanics Instructor to lead students through a comprehensive automotive technology curriculum. The ideal candidate will inspire high school students by delivering hands-on instruction in automotive systems, diagnostics, repair, and industry-standard safety practices. This role prepares students for careers and certifications in the automotive field.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• Teach automotive systems including engines, brakes, electrical, steering/suspension, and diagnostics.

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state CTE standards and industry certifications (e.g., ASE).

• Provide instruction in safety procedures, tool usage, and workplace readiness skills.

• Incorporate welding instruction where appropriate, including basic techniques and safety protocols.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.

• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.

• Collaborate with CTE team, industry partners, and advisory committees to ensure program relevance.

• Support students in Work-Based Learning experiences and potential post-secondary pathways.
 
Qualifications:
 
• Valid Colorado CTE teaching license or ability to obtain one in the Transportation pathway.

• Industry experience and relevant certifications (e.g., ASE Master Technician) preferred.

• Welding experience or certification preferred.

• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

• Passion for student success and workforce readiness.
