POSITION SUMMARY: Facilitate the efficient delivery of services on behalf of the Child Nutrition programs for all contracting entities as prescribed by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) contractual agreement with Region 17 ESC using independent judgment and discretion.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 
            EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: BS degree in Insitutional Management, Food Service, Business, Nutrition, Family and Consumer Science, Public Health, Education, or related field 
            PREFERRED: Three years training experience with adults; prior experience as a Child Nutrition Director; Registered Dietitian 
            EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in management of school or institutional food service operations preferred 
            SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Knowledge of federal nutrition programs; knowledge of menu planning and quantity food production; Knowledge of HACCP principles; Food Manager or Food Handler certification
 
 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep fully informed on the current compliance and assessment measures for Child Nutrition programs as prescribed by the TDA contractual agreement; provide training and technical assistance to contracting entities (CE) in all areas of Child Nutrition programs; possess skills in project and time management; have the ability to adapt well to changing priorities and direction; proficient level of technology skills needed to perform contractual requirements; must be able to travel up to 50% out-of-town and other ESC regions as part of work responsibilities.
 
 
REPORTS TO: Coordinator, Child Nutrition and Purchasing
MINIMUM SALARY: $66,697
