East Moline School District #37 is accepting applications for Bus Driver Trainees. Bus Driver trainees will be paid during training, which will be provided at the district administrative office. Training must be completed within 12 weeks. Upon attainment of a bus driver license, trainees will be assigned as substitute bus drivers and will be eligible to apply for open full time bus driver positions. 

Bus Driver trainees will also have the option to work as substitute bus monitors during their training period.

East Moline School District #37 is seeking applicants for the position of bus monitor

Qualifications include:
 
1.    Provide a certificate of physical fitness in accordance with Board Policy
2.    Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
3.    Possess the aptitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment devoted to serving District #37 students and their families
4.    Possess the ability to communicate amicably and effectively with students, co-workers, supervisors, teachers, administrators, parents, and staff.

This is a part-time four-hour position, and part of the AFSCME Local 2040 Transportation Employees Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Salary - Placement on the Bus Monitor Salary Schedule.

This position is non-exempt under FLSA.

Work hours vary, depending on the assignment, but are not expected to exceed 600 hours in a 12-month period.  Guest Bus Drivers earn $17.50 per hour.

Guest drivers should be prepared and able to perform any or all of the job duties listed on the attached job description.
