JOB SUMMARY
Licensed Behavioral Health Professional position will work closely with the building administrative team as well as the building school counseling team to coordinate, facilitate, and implement mental health support services for students. The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional position will work with the Student Support & Counseling Facilitator and District-Level MTSS Team to coordinate support services across the district. The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional will provide emotional support and foster a safe and successful learning environment for students and staff at all school levels. The primary focus will be on building students’ capacity for academic success and positive social and emotional well-being by providing direct services for at risk students to address mental/behavioral health, trauma, grief, suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention, and other risky behaviors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of diversity
Knowledge of and experience with mediations and conflict resolution
Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies and other district department procedures
A high level of organizational skills and initiative
Strong communication skills
Experience and training in mental health support
Ability to build relationships with students
Other duties as assigned.
Length of Contract
Four Year Grant Funded Position with the possibility of extension based on funding availability. 186 Days Contract.
EVALUATION
Performance of the performance of this job will be evaluated by the Executive Director of Educational Services and/or Student Support & Counseling Facilitator in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies and state law.
