  •   Dickinson Public Schools is now hiring for the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Five years of verifiable work experience. Administrative Assistant at a school-site level or District-level preferred.
    2. Advanced organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
    3. Accurate record-keeping and data management capabilities.
    4. Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    5. Such additions to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
    RESPONSIBLE TO: Superintendent
     
    JOB GOAL: The Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board provides executive-level administrative support by performing a large variety of complex duties reaching into most parts of the organization.  The applicant needs to be flexible and easily adaptabe in order to meet the needs of the Central Administration Office.
     
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Administrative Coordination: Organize and oversee the Superintendent’s daily operations.
    2. Communication Management: Serve as the Superintendent’s primary contact for inquiries, screening calls, and prioritizing correspondence. Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain professional communication standards with staff and external parties.
    3. Meeting Support and Minutes: Prepare meeting agendas with supporting documentation, attend various District meetings, record official minutes, and ensure accurate documentation and distribution of meeting outcomes. This position requires a flexible schedule due to meetings that fall outside of the standard work schedule.
    4. Perform Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the work unit.
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Normally 260 working days (the actual number of working days may vary as determined by the superintendent). Typically working 8 hours per day. Candidate will need to have availablilty to work some evening and early morning hours. Salary and benefits are determined by the Board of Education in accordance with the 2024-2025 Classified Salary & Benefit Package. The current salary range is $20.75-$23.25 per hour depending on experience. This positions is eligible for all benefits including health, dental, vision, life, retirement, paid leave, and holiday pay. 
     
    EVALUATION: A performance review will be conducted annually in accordance with the provisions established by the administration and the Board.
