QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.Successfully meet the passing requirements of the Para Professional Exam or provide proof of having completed at least 60 college credit hours.
3.Strong technology skills and background
4.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Media Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning library environment in which teachers and students can take full advantage of available resources and receive technology support.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Library Management
Assists with the processing of new materials.
2. Creates notices concerning overdue books.
3. Makes simple repairs on damaged books.
4. Readies books for students and teachers per request.
5. Assists in the annual inventory of library materials and the preparations of lists of missing books and books to be discarded.
6. Performs the circulation of books and materials.
7. Shelves incoming books.
8. Oversees the general neatness and appeal of the library.
9. Helps students locate books and information.
10. Assists the librarian in managing student behavior.
11. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Media Specialist and/or Principal.

Device Management
Updated 10-28-24

1. Performs the circulation of devices.
2. Creates invoices concerning lost/damaged devices.
3. Readies devices for new students and exchanges damaged devices as needed.
4. Assists in the inventory and organization of technology devices.
5. Maintains lists of usable and disposable surplus.
6. Makes simple repairs on damaged devices and processes severely damaged devices for repair by submitting a help ticket.
7. Assists with scheduling repair pickups.
8. Assists with end of year device collection and cleaning.
9. Helps students with general technology support.
10. Manages technology fees in PowerSchool
