Job Title: Computer Technician 
 
• General Description:

• Provide repair/maintenance to desktops, laptops, peripherals in K-8 education environment

• Year-round position

• Reports to Director of Information Services, assists other Computer Technicians
 
• Requirements:

• Previous experience with computer repairs, both laptop and desktop

• Firm knowledge of Apple OS v10.x

• Chromebook knowledge a plus

• Windows & Linux OS  knowledge a plus

• Strong Mac & PC hardware/software troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently, and with others.

• Good manual dexterity

• Willingness to learn new skills and responsibilities
 
• Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot workstation hardware /software issues 

• Work with other Computer Technicians to ensure effective maintenance and support of technology resources
 
• Activities may include: 

• Upgrading workstations (hardware and software)  

• Moving heavy computer equipment

• Working in cramped and hot places, 
 
• Qualifications: 

• 2 year degree in computer technology/electronics or equivent experience

• Demonstrated experience in computer hardware repair

• Apple Certification a plus
 
• Salary: $35,000 annual salary

• Evaluation: Performance to be evaluated no less than annually by the Director of  Information  Services
