About the Role
Starts May 27 - dates/times flexible and TBD
The Production Manager interacts with and responds to students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members in ways that demonstrates their alignment and agreement with the district’s equity commitments as expressed in Board Policy 7:12: Ensuring Racial and Educational Equity.

Daily/Weekly
Follow task list as compiled with Artistic Director, Business Manager and as created by the Production Manager
Responding to email and any parent/staff communication
Greet all guests entering BRAVO – you may have to stop what you are doing to take care of their needs
Answer the phone, check the mail, deliver packages and run errands as needed daily in the office
Prepare all materials for each show - librettos, calendars, Google folders, schedules, production meetings
Assist and help prepare Rehearsals and build in both process and preparation
Handle daily parent issues, challenge, questions, concerns – liaison for director(s)
Research new hire positions and Coordinate interviews with potential new hires with the Artistic Director
Coordination of Production technical calendar, scheduling and the meeting of deadlines
Report and update daily - share news, schedules, concerns and achievements
Plan ahead - always be working 2 weeks to months ahead, planning, preparing and communicating
Productions/Programs
Assist with rehearsal process and preparation as needed – new Director & all designers
Oversee Technical staff (costumer, TD, carpenters, scenic designer, LD, Sound Engineer): schedules, deadlines, meetings
Assist with all programming and production preliminary details - planning needs/ordering/research
Plan, communicate and lead production meetings
Assist with licensing of shows
Coordinating, delegating or acquiring show specific items; i.e. props, lighting rentals, tool shed needs, rentals (prop, lighting, costume)
Create and manage the production calendar/schedule for all shows
Manage and organize strikes with TD or Crew Manager
Manage and train assistant stage managers (if/when needed)
Plan, organize and execute Dry Tech with the crew in collaboration with the show team
Maintain a safe backstage environment at all times - always aware of safety and fire code
Press and Advertisement
Articles for online publications and newspapers. Assist with writing and preparing Press Releases
Social Media Marketing
Oversee calendar in coordination with BAB for updates on Facebook and Instagram
Volunteer Coordinator/Parent Liaison
Volunteer management, assignment, & implementation with Business Manager.
Field parental questions with email communication with Business Manager
Candidate Qualifications:
Theatrical, Production and Organizational experience is a must
Ability to work under pressure and meet daily/weekly deadlines
Self-motivating, self-starter, proactive, team-player
Proficient in Google Docs - sheets, docs, forms, airtable
Strong writing, communication and organizational skills
Flexible and able to multitask
Leadership and management skills
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the performance of light work—which may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. The position includes close visual acuity, frequent talking, hearing, walking and standing, occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed in non-hazardous environments and a clean atmosphere.
