- Custodial Responsibilities
- Maintain an assigned clearing area, ensuring it meets district cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and removing trash.
- Maintain entryways and hallways, ensuring they are free from debris, spills, gum, and obstructions.
- Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies in restrooms and common areas.

- Custodial Team Coordination
- Provide direction, training, and coaching to night custodians for both individual and team cleaning areas.
- Coordinate team cleaning areas, ensuring efficient coverage and adherence to custodial standards.
- Participate in overlap meetings with the Lead Custodian to review daily priorities
- Ensure that all custodial services are performed safely and on schedule to meet facility needs.

- Building Monitoring and Security
- Oversee building use during evening hours, monitoring scheduled events through the scheduling system.
- Serve as the central point of contact for community usage activities.
- Ensure that outside entities properly exit and secure the building, including locking up after events.

- This duty may be performed independently without other staff or custodians present.

- Operational and Maintenance Support
- Report issues, maintenance requests, and supply needs to the Lead Custodian.
- Perform minor building maintenance for items such as light fixtures, pencil sharpeners, tile coverings, soap dispensers, paper towel machines, and custodial equipment.
- In winter, clear snow and ice from walkways and parking lots, applying salt or other ice-melting products as needed.

- Event Set-up and Take-down
- Direct set-up and take down of equipment for building activities and outside usage.
