Community Unit School District 308 (SD308) is seeking qualified candidates to become School Bus Monitors for the district.
Work hours will be varied.
COMPENSATION:
- 15.50 p/h (Rate of pay could be adjusted up to compensate for experience.)

- Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 21 years of age (or older) with high school diploma or equivalent.
- In a timely manner, handle emergency situations, evaluations and administer first aid.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, alcohol, background and TB testing.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn safety.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist bus driver with the safety, movement, management and care of students
- Learn and adapt to each student's medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs
- Serve as a role model demonstrating positive attitude and self-control
- Protect the confidentiality of student records and information
- Responsible to secure students who use child safety restraint systems
