District 27 is searching for enthusiastic, child-centered educators to fill multiple primary-grade classroom teacher vacancies at Hickory Point School. This includes the need for a full-year maternity leave position. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1300 students across three schools, educating students to succeed in a changing world. Qualified candidates should possess a valid IL PEL with an endorsement in elementary education. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of prior classroom experience.

Salary and benefits for this position are covered by the District 27 Negotiated Agreement between the Board of Education and the Teachers Association. Salary will be determined based on experience and level of education. Multiple medical benefit plans are available to employees and are considered exemplary as compared to other districts.

District 27 is looking for multiple motivated, energetic, and student-centered educators to work with students with IEPs in a classroom setting for the 2024-25 school year. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1300 students across three schools educating students to succeed in a changing world. There are currently needs at Hickory Point School (grades PK-2), Shabonee School (grades 3-5), and Wood Oaks Junior High (grades 6-8). There are also multiple opportunities available to earn extra money through supervision before, during, and after school. A bachelor's degree or greater is preferred, as is a teaching or substitute license.  Hourly rate is established based on experience, but degreed candidate rates start at $21/hr. Access to health care is available as a cost-shared benefit with the Board of Education. This position comes with access to two personal business days and eleven sick days.

District 27 is searching for enthusiastic, child-centered educators to serve as substitute teachers at all three buildings. A qualified substitute can choose to work at the K-2(Hickory Point), 3-5(Shabonee), 6-8(Wood Oaks) building or choose to work at any of the three depending on need. An Illinois Substitute Teaching License is required, while an Illinois Teaching License is preferred. If you do not have a license, but do have a bachelor's degree, we will help you obtain your licensure. The daily rate of pay for substitute teachers to $150 per day.
