Onward Neighborhood House is a long-standing community center serving the northwest side of Chicago. GBS and Onward House have been working together for almost 50 years! GBS students tutor children aged 5 to 12 years-old in their after-school program every Tuesday. In addition to helping with their homework, we read books, color, and play games with the Onward House children. GBS tutors develop positive relationships with the children at Onward House and find it rewarding to help build a child's skills and self-confidence. Throughout the school-year, the club also engages in fundraising activities and collection drives to help the Onward House community.

Glenbrook South High School is seeking internal applicants to serve as the Assistant (Individual Events) Speech Coach position for the 2025-2026 school year. 

The primary role of the Assistant Speech Coach involves the nurturing of student competitor skills in the communication arts. Familiarity with all fourteen individual events and proficiency in at least three specific events are required. The goal is a well-rounded coaching staff that attends to the needs of all fourteen events offered in competition by the IHSA. The duties for individual events coaches are as follows:
 
• Attend auditions to assemble a team.
• Coaching assigned students at least once per week.
• Attend a minimum of three invitational tournaments.
• Ride the bus with students. Bus supervision will be split amongst all coaches equally.
• Supervise and support competitors at tournaments.
• Judge as needed at invitational tournaments.
• Read critiques and share appropriate feedback with competitors.
• Attend Regional and Sectional competitions from morning judges’ meetings through the awards ceremony.
• Assist with the reading and cutting of selection of performance materials where appropriate.
• Proofread student-generated speeches and offer feedback when necessary.
• Attend weekly team meetings to offer coaching sign-up for team members.
• Maintain email contact with students and parents to answer questions throughout the season.
• Assist in the selection of Regional team members by viewing selected performances in all fourteen events throughout the season.
• Attend the end of the season banquet.

Glenbrook Off-Campus Center is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist (anticipated) to join our therapeutic day school program, a smaller therapeutic milieu located outside the main high school buildings, for the 2025-2026 school year. This role involves working with high school students, staff, parents, and community agencies to develop and implement therapeutic and transition goals. The psychologist will provide individual and group counseling, social skills instruction, and consultative support for students with social-emotional needs, autism, and emotional disabilities.

As a key member of the school team, the School Psychologist will apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Through collaboration with families, teachers, and administrators, our School Psychologist helps to create a safe and supportive learning environment that strengthens connections between home, school, and the community.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Candidates are required to hold or be eligible for a Professional Educator License with a School Psychologist endorsement. Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Certified and/or director behavior support preferred. 

Compensation:

Glenbrook High School District 225's Human Resources department is currently seeking student workers to assist with key projects over the summer. These temporary positions offer a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills. 

Project 1: Digitization of Records
The selected student(s) will be responsible for converting physical records into digital format in the Skyward Qmlative HRIS System. Applicants should have a keen eye for detail, the ability to scan documents in batches, a comprehension of the confidentiality surrounding the personnel files, and possessing strong time management skills. 

Key responsibilities:
• Convert physical records into digital format.
• Scan documents in batches while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of personnel files. 
• Safeguarding records from physical degradation, loss, or damage during the digital conversion process.

Additional Qualifications:
• Proficiency with scanning.
• Familiarity with office scanners.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organizational skills. 
• Understanding the confidentiality associated with personnel files. 

Position Details:
1. This is a temporary position and is not benefits-eligible. 
2. Duration: June 3, 2025, through August 6, 2025.
3. Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

• Device Migration: Assist in migrating devices from WS1 to Intune and Mosyle
• Network Setup and Documentation: Rename and label access points in both buildings and assist with related network cleanup.
• Inventory Management: Conduct detailed inventory checks in classrooms, including renaming devices such as Apple TVs and projectors.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning projector filters, updating projector firmware, and cleaning monitors and keyboards.
• Storage Organization: Clean and organize the storage areas for various technology devices, ensuring everything is neatly arranged and accessible.
• Phone Setup: Unbox and prepare new phones for use.
