    Work Schedule:
    • Pay Rate:  $15.00/hour
    • June 2025 - mid August ONLY
    • Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)
    • Start times between 6:00/7:00 a.m. and end times between 2:30/3:30 p.m. determined by assignment.
    • This is a temporary position not eligible for benefits or paid time off

    Position Description:
    Summer Custodial Support provides assistance to Buildings and Grounds department during the summer months and possibly during other school break times. Duties include cleaning, painting, light maintenance, furniture moving,deliveries, and grounds work. 

    Qualifications:
    Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.  Summer Custodial Support must be flexible and adaptable, moving from job to job at a moment’s notice and be able to multi-task by completing several jobs. The candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, dependability, and willingness and ability to take direction and work in teams. Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor for full shift (up to 8 hours) Monday through Friday.  

    Essential Duties
    • Gathering and emptying trash and recycle containers
    • Cleaning glass and windows
    • Removing litter from halls and outside school grounds
    • Removing scuff marks from the floor
    • Cleaning all areas of school
    • Dusting
    • Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
    • Furniture moving
    • Light maintenance
    • Painting
    • Seasonal work such as raking leaves and trimming bushes
    Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and in a generally hazard free environment.  Close vision required, ability to communicate and receive communication required.   Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.  
     
    Some positions require valid Driver’s license and clear driving record.

    Position is not benefit eligible.
