Cuyahoga Valley Career Center has a part-time State Tested Nurse Aide Coordinator/Instructor position available in our Adult Education program. The STNA program meets three (3) evenings per week, with clinical rotations on weekends.
Minimum qualifications:
- Current RN License with two years of experience required (1600 hours), one of which must be employed as an RN in a skilled nursing facility/nursing home. Nursing home hours must be verified by letterhead statements from current and/or previous nursing home employers. This is required unless you possess a Train-The-Trainer Certificate.
- STNA Train-The-Trainer Certification Required
- Candidate must have dependable transportation and be willing to travel to local clinical sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- The coordinator shall be responsible for the overall administration and accountability of the program
- Arrange instructor's schedules for in-class training as well as maintaining the minimum ratio of one instructor for every eight trainees for the clinical experience portion of the training
- The coordinator will also act as the liaison and primary contact between the school and the clinical sites
- Reports directly to the CVCC Adult Education Coordinator
- Responsible for organizing and conducting advisory committee meetings and working with off-site long term care, community, and business members.
