PURPOSE: This position provides management and supervision of the district mental health program, as well as, clinical and district supervision of the program’s mental health clinicians. This position is the district liaison to city, county, and state support and crisis services for students and families. This position is part of the Student Growth and Experience department and reports to the Student Growth and Experience Director.

Salary: $121,954. to $141,430. with benefits
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee’s salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Program administration, management, and continued development of school-based behavioral health services.
- Lead and supervise a team of mental health clinicians.
- Serve as the district crisis response manager which could include direct services to students, staff, and families.
- Provide supervision to LCSW licensure candidates.
- Consult with mental health providers within the district and Benton County at large.
- Facilitate communication and training within the district regarding mental health and student behavior.
- Assist administrators and staff in assessing schools’ mental health and student behavior needs.
- Assist Student Growth and Experience department administrators in designing and implementing staff development.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with school personnel to meet the diverse social-emotional and academic needs of students.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with diverse student, staff, and community populations.
- Create and model a respectful learning environment.
- Assist school staff and administration to implement all policies and/or rules governing student conduct, reinforce positive behavior support, and utilize effective, proactive behavior management skills in all school settings.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Utilize technology as related to job responsibilities.
- Maintain regular attendance at work and work activities and is punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and following schedules.
- Participate in activities that are related to school functions and/or the education process that occur outside the regular workday.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Current license required: LCSW
- Must meet Oregon standards to provide supervision to LCSW licensure candidates under either the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers or the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.
- Minimum five years of professional-level mental health experience in a clinical setting.
- Minimum two years of experience supervising professional-level staff in a clinical setting.
- Understanding of human growth and development patterns, learning theory, and brain research.
- Experience in crisis response management.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of youth mental health and behavior supports and strategies.
- Ability to work effectively with adults in a support and supervisory role.
- Experience as a presenter in workshops to educators.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal education and mental health laws and of student and staff rights.
- Ability to effectively work with and respond to people from diverse cultures or backgrounds.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations.
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise adults.
- Ability to direct the work of other staff members.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and collaboration efforts with staff and community.
- Ability to travel among district facilities as needed, and, if driving, the ability to meet district driving standards.
- Standard First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within two months of hire, may be required.
