The Coal City School District is seeking a long term substitute coverage for a Speech Pathologist.  This coverage is needed at the start of the 25/26 school year, approximately 8/11/2025 through 11/4/2025.

Duties:
Proficiency in the evaluation of and programming for speech and language impairments, specifically including disorders of articulation, voice, fluency, structural and neuromuscular impairments of speech, and disorders of expressive and receptive language. Proficiency in program-related scheduling, record-keeping, report writing, and development of Individual Education Plans.

Qualifications:
Professional Educator License Speech Language Pathologist Endorsement

Salary/Benefits:
First 10 days pay the 2025/26 school year daily sub rate: $150/day.  Remainder of days would be paid out at lane 1/step 1 rate: $268.06/day.

The Coal City School District has anticiptaed openings for Paraprofessional Support Staff for the 24/25 school year.  

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1. Assist the teacher in performing duties which may be, supervisory, maintenance, and/or instructional in nature. Duties may include restroom assistance, if needed.
2. Assist the teacher in overseeing individual and group student behavior and in maintaining an orderly school environment.
3. Specific responsibilities for a given assignment to be determined by the teacher and the Principal based upon the needs of the classroom instructional program, instructional goals and objectives, the type and number of students involved, and the skills and desire of the involved staff.
4. Responsibility of having continuous visual contact with student.
5. Priority of duties are with assigned student.
QUALIFICATIONS:
State Paraprofessional License.
Proper statement of approval from the State Teacher certification board.
Demonstrated interest aptitude for work to be performed.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students and other employees.
Proper level of physical fitness and freedom from communicable disease.
 
REPORTS TO: Teacher, Building Principal
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The length, terms, and conditions of the individual employment contracts will be determined annually by the Board of Education upon recommendation by the Administration. Other benefits and work conditions are as per established Board of Education policies.  Employment contingent on student enrollment.

HOURLY RATE/BENEFITS:
The anticipated 2024-2025 Pay Rate is $17.00/hour for 173-177 Day School Year Contract.  Full and Part-Time positions available.  Full Time positions are benefits eligable, such as IMRF pension, life insurance, health, dental and vision insurance benefits are available.  Sick days, personal business days.
 
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the administration in accordance with the Board policy on evaluation of noncertified employees.
