Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports To: Superintendent/Designee
Employment Status: Administrator - 260 days Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certification in maintenance or facilities management preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and standard office applications.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
General Duties: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of all district facilities, equipment, and grounds. This position ensures the district’s infrastructure is safe, operational, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of maintenance personnel and work collaboratively with administration, staff, and contractors to support the district’s goals.
Specific Performance Duties:
Plans, organizes, and supervises the maintenance/custodial staff in the repair and limited improvement of school buildings, building custodial daily work, equipment and grounds, including boiler and related equipment, maintenance care of lawns and grounds, and repair of buildings.
Requisitions materials and supplies and occasionally makes emergency purchases.
Conducts periodic inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine maintenance and repair needs; confers with superintendent before planning improvements and maintenance project
Assists in interviews and rates maintenance/custodial job applicants.
Directs the training of new maintenance/custodial employees, either directly or through delegation.
Evaluates work performance of maintenance employees and prepares periodic maintenance work reports.
Evaluates work performance of custodial employees in conjunction with building principals and prepares periodic custodial work reports.
Develops long-term plans for capital improvements, building needs, and inventory.
Displays ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of diversified employees in a manner conducive to high performance and morals.
Displays the ability to inspect and evaluate work performed on maintenance, repair, and minor construction projects.
Displays the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, administrators, teachers, and the general public.
Displays knowledge of maintenance, custodial, and repair requirements of large buildings and of building machinery and equipment.
Displays a knowledge of the tools, methods, and practices of the building trades and of grounds maintenance.
Displays knowledge of the proper operation of high/low pressure steam heating plants and knowledge of boiler operation.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to school facilities, including safety and environmental standards.

JOB TITLE: Custodian CPS Building - 2nd Shift - 2 Positions
JOB PURPOSE:
The job of Custodian is done for the purpose/s of maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility; providing adequate arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Arranges furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for meetings, classroom activities and events (i.e., regular school, community education, special events).
Cleans school facilities (i.e., classrooms, offices, multipurpose rooms, grounds, windows, restrooms, sinks, carpets, floors, garbage cans, wastebaskets, gym, cafeteria, and other areas as directed by principal or head custodian) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
Delivers a variety of items (e.g., supplies, mail, packages, furniture) for the purpose of distributing the materials to the appropriate parties.
Informs principal, supervisor, other site personnel and students for the purpose of providing information regarding activities, safety and/or proper maintenance of facilities.
Secures facilities and grounds for the purpose of minimizing property damage, loss and liability and ensuring safety at work site (i.e., unlock and lock doors, secure gates, check windows, turn light off/on; operate heating plant and equipment).
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Repairs furniture, equipment and minor building damage for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition.
Requests equipment and supplies through the principal or supervisor for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items as needed to properly maintain facilities.
Maintains ground and operates equipment as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS-QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills to use cleaning agents; supplies and equipment; perform basic math to calculate accurate dilution of cleaning agents.
Knowledge of methods and use of cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies, safe work practices.
Abilities to stand for prolonged periods, follow oral and written instructions, adhere to flexible assignments often with short notice, and communicate with students, staff and parents. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling/stooping, reading/handling, hear/far visual acuity/depth perception.
Ability to function effectively and efficiently on a computer and email

Cavalier Athletic Center Substitute
Reports To:
Cavalier Athletic Center Coordinator Superintendent of Schools/Designee
Overall Duties:
Responsible for overseeing the check in process at the Cavalier Athletic Center, maintain the schedule, and supervise general activities within the facility. Under general supervision, this position reports to the Cavalier Athletic Center Coordinator as assigned.
Education Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications:
Must follow the rules, regulations, and procedures as they pertain to the Cavalier Athletic Center . Must maintain a current CPR and First Aid Certification
Must clear a drug screening
Must complete FBI/BCI Background Check

Position: Paraprofessional II - 1:1 Aide at Pioneer Reports To: Building Principals Employment Status: Classified, 185 days
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree preferred
Willing and able to participate in in-service training
Demonstrated ability in working with students in formal and informal situations and show evidence of successful work experience
Eligible to obtain a State Paraprofessional Aide License
General Duties: To plan activities that assist the school in achieving teaching objectives. This may include large groups of students, including rotations of student classes on the unified arts schedule. This position may also include Pioneer School responsibilities and supervision of Pioneer students off campus.
Works with large groups of students, including full classes on the unified arts rotations.
Plans activities for students and classes as needed for the period.
Collects resources that may be needed for whole class activities or lessons.
Collaborates with teachers and curriculum department to develop activities, plan experiences, and provide opportunities for learning for all students.
Assists teachers in achieving academic goals for students, including but not limited to covering specific learning standards, meeting building-wide literacy and STEM goals, and monitoring student progress as needed.
Assists with such large group activities as reading aloud and storytelling
May be assigned to coach staff members on specific student strategies, such as behavioral techniques.
May be assigned to provide professional development to other paraprofessionals and certified teachers on specific topics.
Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student
Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of teachers
Participates in inservice training programs as assigned
Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips
Performs other job related duties as assigned by the teacher, principal or designee
Assists in classroom by answering individual student’s questions while he/she is working on assignments
Monitors/assists students during lunch, free-time activities or work placements
Administers medications to students consistent with District policies and student IEPs
Accompanies student to inclusion classes, as needed
