SUBSTITUTE - ON CALL
POSITION:	Paraeducator
TYPE:	On call as needed. These positions work Monday-Friday.
COMPENSATION:	Range 28; Schedule M; Step 1: $20.71 Hourly
TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:	This is an OPEN recruitment to establish a list of substitutes for the classification of Paraeducator. No effort will be made to maintain a rank order of the applicants (P.C. Rule 60.100.5).
TESTING PROCEDURE:	The examination process will consist of a written examination. Testing may occur on a weekly basis. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.
DESCRIPTION:	Under the direction of an administrator and general direction of a classroom teacher and specialist, assist in the instructional support, behavioral support, personal care, and supervision of students with a wide range of disabilities. Provide intensive individualized services; participate in behavioral modification and management of students; assist students with and demonstrate proper physical care and hygienic needs; provide support with classroom organization, management, and safety.  Please click here for a complete job description.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:	Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Passing the Paraeducator Competency Examination.  Experience: One (1) year of experience working with special needs students.
