Position Purpose
The job of Primary Principal is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for directing overall site operations, services, and staff at the primary school; providing information and serving as a resource to others; enforcing established policies and regulatory requirements; coordinating school activities; and addressing issues, situations, and problems that arise on campus or with enrolled students.
This job reports to Superintendent
Essential Functions(Other duties may be assigned) - Assigns disciplinary actions to students and staff as needed for the purpose of ensuring continuity and efficiency of District educational goals while adhering to District, State, and Federal policies and regulations.
- Chairs meetings (e.g. curriculum, safety, site advisory, special district committees, etc.) for the purpose of coordinating activities and ensuring that outcomes achieve school, district, and state objectives.
- Delegates responsibility for a variety of administrative functions to other personnel (e.g. school-wide programs, etc.) for the purpose of managing the workload more efficiently while ensuring the continuity of work when absences occur.
- Develops budgets and financial forecasts for the purpose of providing financial guidance and recommendations to administrative personnel, Superintendent, and governing Board.
- Evaluates assigned personnel for the purpose of ensuring that standards are achieved and performance is maximized.
- Facilitates communication between a variety of stakeholders (e.g. personnel, students, parents, community leaders, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating situations, supporting staff and students, solving problems, and resolving conflicts.
- Implements policies, procedures, and processes (e.g. new program rollouts, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and complying with mandated requirements.
- Manages school administrative functions (e.g. facility maintenance, budget, staffing, crisis planning, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining safe and efficient school operations within district guidelines.
- Oversees school operations (e.g. instruction, resources, extra-curricular activities, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the school.
- Prepares a wide variety of materials (e.g. quantity reports, student activities, correspondence, student data, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and conveying information.
- Presents information to a wide variety of individuals and groups (e.g. Superintendent, Board of Education, community groups, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback, and ensuring adherence to established internal controls.

Education
- Masters from an accredited college or university in educational leadership/administration.
Certification Requirements: Must be eligible for Wyoming administration endorsement.
