  Description:  Seasonal Custodial position - Spring, Summer, Fall    

Job Summary: 

April 1, 2025 through November 30, 2025

POSITION GOAL:      To assist in keeping the school grounds and buildings in a condition which will create a positive environment in which the education process can be performed.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
         1.   Assists in keeping the sports facilities clean and in good repair.
 
         2.   Assists in the mowing and weed control of all lawns and grass areas for the sports facilities, school buildings and grounds.
 
         3.   Assists with general cleaning tasks within district buildings when outside working conditions are not suitable.
 
         5.   Assists with repairs at sports facilities or for grounds equipment.
 
         6.   Assists in providing security for sports facilities, school buildings, and grounds.
 
         7.   Helps cover events at the sports facilities for public schools, non-public schools, and rentals as assigned by head custodian.
 
         8.   Assists with snow removal as assigned by the head custodian.
 
         9.   Does not use any tobacco or vaping products on school property or in school vehicles. Supports the Board’s policy to have a tobacco or vaping free environment and communicates this to all staff and visitors on school property and school vehicles
 
         10.   Follows safe working practices and encourages others to do so as well.
 
         11.   Is positive in working with other district employees and the public he/she comes in contact with during his/her work schedule.
 
         12.   Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the person he/she reports to.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.   
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate tractors, mowers, and small equipment.
Ability to care for mowing equipment.  A knowledge of small engine care and repair is important.
Assists with the program for seeding, fertilization, and weed control for the sports facilities and all campus grounds.
Ability to work in extremes of weather conditions.
