School Psychologist
SALARY: $65/hr.
Supervision will be done by the Supervisor of Special Education.

The summer district school psychologist will work approximately 20 days of the summer.  Tasks will include: 
• Complete ESR for Transfer IEP meetings 
• Complete Autism evaluations (must be trained in and able to conduct ADOS 2)
• Conduct kindergarten through 22 years old referrals, both initial and reevaluations 
• Attend IEP meetings – reevaluations, revisions 
• Ensure ESR compliance corrections are completed
• Work with home school psychologists and teachers through the summer to gather information 
• Work with special education teachers to write IEPS goals in behavior 
• Conduct FBA and BSP, as necessary for Summer Academy
• Provide ESY services for BIPs, counseling and psych consult 
• Provide counseling, as needed for Summer Academy  
• Document psych services in DSC: Related Services Application or current Student Information System, and/or Service Logs
• Other duties, as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold or be eligible for state of Delaware initial or continuing license
Must hold or be eligible for certification as a School Psychologist

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Orientation Days: July 7 and July 8
Start and End Dates: July 7 - August 7 - Monday through Thursday
Staff Hours: 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Student Start and End Dates: July 9 - August 6 - Monday through Thursday
Student Hours:  8 a.m.-12 p.m.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold or be eligible for state of Delaware initial or continuing license
Must be certified in the area you are applying

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Staff Hours and Student Hours: TBD (2 days per week 5-10 hours/week)

Would you love to lead our summer outreach experience? As a teacher in this role, you'll have the opportunity to employ a creative and systematic approach to reach children entering Kindergarten in targeted communities, enriching their skills and fostering a love for learning.
 
As a member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in:
• Engaging with families and caregivers to provide valuable resources and information on kindergarten readiness.
• Facilitating interactive learning sessions that enhance children's cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
• Collaborating with local childcares and community leaders to tailor our services to the unique needs of our Cape students.
• Implementing creative strategies to overcome barriers to access and participation, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to benefit from our program.
 
Our initiative is centered around utilizing community centers as vibrant hubs of educational engagement and revamping the traditional bookmobile concept to deliver essential resources directly to neighborhoods. Through this innovative approach, we aim to bridge the gap in access to educational materials and support services, ensuring that every child has an equal opportunity to thrive as they enter the classroom.
