Speech Language Pathologist (Part-time OR Full-time)
Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the District Director of Special Education and Superintendent, Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) screen, assess, and diagnose communication disabilities, provide individual and group therapy and services to students identified with a communication disability on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). SLPs train, supervise, and/or consult with educational providers and parents, and they participate in IEP processes, acting as case manager when specified.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree required, Master’s preferred, from an accredited college or university
Licensing: Educator Licensing issued by the Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider Endorsement: School Speech-Language Pathologist required
Certification: American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) preferred
Experience: Successful PreK-12 SLP experience preferred
Contract Days: 178-day for full-time (pro-rated for part-time)
Compensation: Base pay for full-time based on 2025-2026 SLP SSP salary schedule - $47,515.00 (pro-rated for part-time)
FLSA Status: Exempt

- Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disabilities for students birth – age 21
- Assist IEP teams with the development and implementation of IEPs
- Document services provided and monitor student progress
- Act as a case manager for students requiring speech and language services only as stipulated on the IEP
- Train and supervise SLP Assistants
- Along with SLP Assistants, provide individual and group therapy and services
- Schedule in- and out-of-class support
- Liaison and consult with teachers, providers, administrators, parents, service agencies, and community
- Process Medicaid reimbursements
Effectively maintains relationships at multiple levels (individual, team, Mountain BOCES, schools, districts)
Maintains ethics, legal responsibility, and confidentiality
Serves as a liaison between Mountain BOCES and human service agencies, sharing appropriate information when needed, once proper parental consent is obtained
Delivers services as determined by the IEP or instructional schedule 100% of time
Follows organizational and district policies
Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Special Education or Superintendent.

Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
