    Job Description

    Title:                                         PRINCIPAL
     
    Qualifications:                           Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field. Wyoming
                                                     Principal Certification from the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB).
     
    Reports to:                                Superintendent
     
    Job Objectives:                          To effectively lead, passionately advocate, and provide an unwavering commitment to the well-being of the students and staff. 
     
    Performance Responsibilities:
                                                                                                                                          
    1. Provide a safe and orderly environment.
    2. Be visible within the building.
    3. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
    4. Provide a guaranteed and viable curriculum to ensure the best possible education for each student.
    5. Resolve conflicts striving for a win-win outcome.
    6. Attend and supervise school activities.
    7. Provide a positive educational school climate for students and staff.
    8. Effectively recruit, retain, and assign staff to ensure optimum effectiveness.
    9. Effectively evaluate staff using the approved district and Superintendent evaluation procedures.
    10. Provide the initiative for professional growth.
    11. Regularly informs the Superintendent of activities and issues in school.
    12. Effective in implementing a budget.
    13. Supervise and evaluate the physical condition, safety, and appearance of the school building and grounds.
    14. Delegate tasks and functions without relinquishing responsibilities.
    15. Stays current regarding rules, regulations, and policies of the District and State.
    16. Demonstrate a strong code of professional ethics and integrity.
    17. Be a professional, positive, ethical, and collegial role model for others at all times.
    18. Promote research-based educational practices in the best interests of the students.
    19. Follow and administer Board policies, administrative regulations, and Superintendent directives. 
    20. Performs such other duties as assigned by the Superintendent in a competent, precise, timely, professional, and confidential manner.
     
    Terms of Employment:               Principals are hired as per district calendar, policies and the Superintendent for 210 days to be compensated according to the District salary schedule and policies.
     
    Evaluation:                                Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy for evaluation of principals.
