    Job Description
     
    District job descriptions are provided as a general outline of the job requirements and qualifications for positions in the District.     Title:                                       SUPERINTENDENT SECRETARY
     
    Qualifications:                           1.       Minimum high school diploma.
    1. Demonstrated aptitude and competence for assigned duties and responsibilities.
    2. Competent skills in letter writing, filing, typing, and compiling data.        
    3. Demonstrated proficiency using technology and office equipment.
    4. Demonstrated professional and ethical work performance.
     
    Reports To:                               Superintendent
     
    Job Goal:                                   To perform all duties and responsibilities in a competent, confidential, ethical and
                                                     professional manner according to district policies and superintendent directives.
     
    Performance Responsibilities:
     
    1. Maintains confidentiality regarding all school district and office business
    2. Conducts public relations using courteous telephone procedures and service-oriented public contact.
    3. Performs general secretarial duties for the Superintendent and Board of Trustees.
    4. Maintains correspondence, personnel, and business files.
    5. Completes reports required by central office and the State.
    6. Attends/prepares Board meetings and records minutes.
    7. Handles scheduling and other duties for the transportation program.
    8. Arranges accommodations for all school overnight activities.  
    9. Arranges travel and registration for staff professional development.
    10. Assists in the maintenance and periodic updating of District records including the Board Policy Manual, Job Descriptions, Personnel Directory, and employee information.
    11. Manages and processes all online application processes as well as publishes vacancy announcements, recording employment information and maintaining employee records.
    12. Maintains records and confidentiality as Background Check Coordinator.
    13. Performs fingerprinting for potential volunteers and employees of the district as needed.
    14. Oversees the Alternative Route to Substitute Certification for the district.
    15. Follows district policies and procedures.
    16. Performs such other duties as assigned by the Superintendent in a competent, precise, timely, professional, and confidential manner.
     
    Terms of Employment:               Work year will be 221  days as specified by the superintendent as at-will
                                                     staff. Salary and benefits as per District salary schedule and Board policy.
     
    Evaluation:                                Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy for evaluation of classified staff.
