    Position Title:                   Elementary Classroom Teacher  K-5
     
    Preferred Qualifications:   

    1. Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Education
    2. Wyoming PTSB Certified
    3. K-6 Endorsement
    4. Highly Qualified as per PTSB Regulations
    5. Strong background in science and math preferred
     
    Reports To:         Building Principal
     
     
    Job Goal:      Under the general supervision of the School Principal to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum. To address specific educational needs of individual students by creating a flexible, safe and optimal                            learning environment. To provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals and to document both that progress and the teaching practices that have helped achieve those goals.
     
     Performance Responsibilities:
     
    1. Elementary Classroom Teacher (K-5):
    2. Provide and manage a positive classroom that is conducive to learning.
    3. Perform all assigned duties with student safety and performance as the primary considerations.
    4. Provide instruction to each student in all assigned areas according to District and State regulations.
    5. Implement with fidelity the district approved curriculum.
    6. Provide teaching competency.
    7. Provide the initiative for professional growth.
    8. To stay current regarding rules, regulations and policies of the District and State.
    9. Demonstrate a strong code of professional ethics and integrity.
    10. Follow building operational procedures and discipline policy.
    11. Plan daily lessons and classroom management for the best possible learning environment.
    12. Be a professional, positive, ethical and collegial role model for others at all times.
    13. Demonstrate confidentiality.
    14. Keep accurate and timely data for grading and evaluation purposes.
    15. Responsible for materials and equipment in classrooms and buildings.
    16. Follow Board policies, administrative regulations, and Principal directives.
    17. Performs such other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent in a competent, precise, timely, professional, and confidential manner.
    Additional Duties: 
    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
