SUMMER PROGRAMMING DATES - Monday thru Thursday beginning June 16 - July 17, 2025 from 7:30 am – 12:30 pm (Student time 8:00 am - 12:00 pm).

- July 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, & 17
- Additional Days:
- 1 In-service day for preparation prior to beginning of program.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicant’s Letter of Interest must be uploaded and must indicate non-available dates or indicate availability for duration of program. SUMMER SCHOOL INFO - Elementary Summer School is a blended program incorporating academic support and enrichment activities for students entering K – Gr. 6.
- Staff work collaboratively with the Program Facilitator, other Elementary Summer School staff and multiple community partners to develop and deliver innovative instruction to enhance the academic performance and enrich the lives of Baker School District students.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES OF SUMMER STAFF - Leadership qualities and/or experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and facilitation skills, including creative problem solving and mediating skills.
- Ability to apply effective instructional and management practices to direct and motivate all students.
- Flexible and adaptable; comfortable working with K - 6th grade students; highly ethical with strong sense of integrity and fairness; advocate for kids; willingness and ability to make time commitments.
- Familiarity with alternative educational opportunities such as play based, project based, and experiential learning.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF SUMMER STAFF - Ability to physically perform job duties.
- Ability to hike and supervise students on physical excursions.
- Frequently required to walk, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
SALARY INFORMATION - Classified - $16.26/hour or Current Hourly Rate if you are a BSD employee.
