    Austin Public Schools seeks an on-call bilingual interpreters to provide language interpretation services on a limited, as-needed basis. 
    On-call interpreters provide accurate interpretation of school information between family and school including, but not limited to, district policies and procedures, district communications, curriculum, classroom assignments, classroom lectures, appointments, lectures, conferences, special education meetings and emergency information.
     
    Qualifications:
    High School Diploma, or G.E.D required; must meet NCLB highly qualified criteria (two years/60 semester credits of post secondary education or AA/AS degree or pass competency assessment).  Experience in interpreting and translating information, school experience is preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

    Working Conditions: 
    Inside working in an office and classroom environment.

    Salary:  $16.00 per hour
