Reports to the Director of Special Services

Works 215 Days

Must hold current SC Teaching License in Special Education

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Observes and monitors classroom instructional practices and reports observations to Administration
• Works with Administration to write and implement curriculum K-12 
• Acts as a mentor to new teachers
• Assists others in the district on selection, ordering and maintaining textbooks, supplies and materials to support the standards and instructional programs
• Serve as SC Alt/NCSC teacher leader and SC Alt/NCSC Coordinator at district level 
• Serves on ADEPT team as needed
• Works with individual teachers regarding IEP development and use of the District's IEP software program
• Assists in establishing a school-to-work program for grades 9-12
• Audits IEP's for accuracy and completion
• Conducts training for writing compliant IEP's
• Serves as the Point of Contact for Child Find
