Primary Purpose:
To serve in a leadership position as a district specialist for gifted and talented education and to serve as data specialist for K-12 gifted and talented programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Texas teaching certificate
Minimum of 30 Gifted and Talented Education hours, yearly 6 hour G/T update, and G/T passing
score on G/T supplemental certification test
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of gifted and talented curriculum, programs, and services
Experience:
Three years successful experience as a classroom teacher
Experience teaching gifted and talented student
Experience with data entry for G/T specialized programs’ systems support
Salary: Teacher / 10 Months
