    Summer Program Sessions:   June 5 through June 23, 2017
     
    Monday through Thursday:   
    Secondary: 8:00 – 8:30 Breakfast;    8:30 – 12:00 Instruction;    12:00 – 12:30 Lunch
    Elementary: 8:45 – 9:15 Breakfast; 9;15 – 12:15 Instruction; 12:15 - 12:45 Lunch
     
    POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The Speech and Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, remedial, and consultative services for children with communicative disorders; performs as support staff member in school to determine specific needs of children who display speech, language, and hearing difficulties.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
     
    • Provide group language lessons inside the ESY classrooms in addition to supporting student’s IEP goals
    • Participate in the IEP process as part of an interdisciplinary team.
    • Deliver speech/language services to identified students using a variety of service delivery models.
    • Collect data and monitor progress on speech/language goals and objectives.
    • Implement Assistive Technology services.
    • Perform at a professional level in all areas of teaching, instructional management, interpersonal relationships, professional and general responsibilities.
    • Demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement.
    • Be an effective communicator with staff, students, parents, and the community in a collaborative services model.
    • Demonstrate high integrity with strong desire to model commitment to students, professional ideals and above all, ethical standards in pursuit of education excellence.
     
    SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to interview participation, training/development, assign and direct work, performance feedback, address complaints and resolve problems.
     
    BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    • Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently.
    • Create and implement effective and efficient process management strategies (e.g., procedures, instructional groups, transition materials and supplies).
    • Maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards, state guidelines, and school system policy.
    • Review processes for improvement opportunities and make changes as needed to ensure quality of mental health services.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor’s degree.
    Masters in Speech and Language Pathology
    English fluency will be determined through the interview process and licensure.
    Spanish Speaking preferred, but not required.

    ICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
    Valid Colorado Special Services License with a birth-21 Speech and Language Therapist endorsement
    Masters in Speech and Language Pathology
