The District 33 PreK program gives our youngest learners the experiences and opportunities they need to be successful throughout the rest of their education.  We have 22 classrooms serving up to 430 students each year.  13 of these classrooms are dual language.  Our learning environment recognizes young children’s natural curiosity and facilitates learning through active play.  Our staff facilitate activities that promote confidence, problem-solving, risk-taking and cooperation.  We initiate and build strong partnerships with families so families feel equipped and able to advocate and continue teaching their children in the home.  We have the wonderful opportunity to prepare students for kindergarten and would love for you to join us in this important work!

• At least 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Full License (valid for 5 years)
• At least 18 years of age
• 1 of the Following:
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • 60 semester hours of coursework
  • High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
  • High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
    • Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4)
    • Reading for information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)

• Paraprofessional licenses are valid for 5 years, and may be renewed with the payment of registration fees.
