    JOB TITLE:   District Math Coordinator                                                               WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt
    REPORTS TO:  Chief Academic Officer                                                              PAY GRADE: Professional (3)
    DEPT/SCHOOL:  Curriculum & Instruction                                                         DAYS EMPLOYED:   226

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    To provide district-wide leadership and coordination for all aspects of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, and materials in the area of Mathematics to enhance and maximize the learning opportunities for students.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
          Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Valid Texas Mathematics teacher certification
    • Significant experience participating in district level curriculum work. Campus or district leadership role experience preferred.   
         
          Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Knowledge of curriculum development strategies and best practices.
    • Skill in organizing and coordinating multiple tasks; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work with teachers in curriculum development; collect, analyze, and use data to improve student learning; and have an understanding of systems thinking.
