    QUALIFICATIONS
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent
    2. Experience in facilities, warehouse, other related skills and/or training that demonstrates desired knowledge, skills and abilities
    3. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona State Driver’s License
    4. Knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies
    5. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
     
    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    1. Knowledge of fundamental tools, materials, practices, maintenance, methods and procedures of the job.
    2. Knowledge of accepted industry practices and occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades, such as OSHA.
    3. Ability to safely use job-related tools and operate district vehicles.
    4. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    5. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
    6. Ability to understand and follow a work schedule and written directions.
    7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    8. Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents, and community members.
    9. Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level.
    10. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position, is held in the highest of confidentiality.
    11. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies, including mandatory reporting procedures.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Receive, account for, sort, inventory and deliver district supplies, equipment and mail.
    2. Assist in warehouse activities, stocking and inventory operations.
    3. Ability to handle special project area organization including but not limited to shipping, receiving, clerical-accounting duties of average difficulty.
    4. Receive incoming shipments checking accuracy of items received against purchase order.
    5. Ensure assigned property control numbers are affixed to proper items and delivered as required to district sites.
    6. Maintain accurate inventory through periodic inventory counts and using iVisions or other specialized software required, filing of reports and correspondence, performance of simple computational tasks, and the routine answering of questions.
    7. Pick up, sort, meter USPS mail and drive delivery truck on regularly scheduled routes.
    8. Operate standard office machines.
    9. Perform warehouse operations involving loading, unloading, stocking, distributing and assembly school equipment and supplies.
    10. Compile routine data, checks or verifies reports prepared by others.
    11. Conduct warehouse inventory, processes invoices, stock records, etc.
    12. Fill warehouse orders.
    13. Maintain warehouse in orderly fashion.
    14. Perform weekly safety inspection of vehicle(s) and equipment utilized to complete warehouse duties including cleaning vehicle.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend. The employee may lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds. The employee may ascend/descend ladders and walk and/or stand for extended periods. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens, and use the telephone.   
     
    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Work is indoors and outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with staff, students and public.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The Warehouse Assistant reports to the Warehouse Lead. The Warehouse Assistant will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
                INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLANStarting at $15.65 Per Hour
                WORK YEAR:            12 Months / 8 hours per day
