Job Title: Athletic Director Location: Throckmorton Collegiate ISD Position Type: Full-Time (12 Month)
Position Overview: Throckmorton Collegiate ISD is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic Athletic Director to lead and oversee the district’s athletic programs. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to fostering a culture of athletic excellence and student success. The Athletic Director will be responsible for the management and development of the athletic department, ensuring that our student-athletes receive the best possible support and training to excel both on and off the field.

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the district’s athletic programs, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Lead, mentor, and support coaches across various sports, ensuring they maintain high standards of coaching and student-athlete development.
Ensure compliance with UIL regulations, district policies, and safety standards in all athletic activities.
Foster a culture of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among student-athletes.
Work collaboratively with the principal and other district leaders to align athletic programs with overall educational goals.
Coordinate with parents, community organizations, and booster clubs to promote and support the athletic programs.
Manage athletic facilities and ensure they are properly maintained and safe for student use.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance student participation in athletics and extracurricular activities.
Monitor and assess the academic performance of student-athletes to ensure eligibility and success in the classroom.
Plan and oversee fundraising initiatives to support athletic programs.
Promote the athletic programs through media, community events, and by building strong relationships within the local community.
Qualifications:
At minimum, applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teacher certification.
Proven experience in athletics, including coaching and program administration.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, coaches, and the community.
Knowledge of UIL regulations as well as best practices in middle and high school athletics.
A passion for student-athlete development, both in sports and academics.
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
