A fourth grade teaching position in which the teacher is responsible in creating a flexible educational program and an environment favorable of learning and student growth. The teacher is able to motivate students and develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to establish a sound foundation in accordance with each student's ability and; to establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members.

Preparation and Organization of Instruction Expectations

• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of subject matter.

• Use reference, supplementary, and illustrative materials successfully.

Expectations for Student Discipline
• Emphasis is to be placed on development of self-discipline according to the level of maturity of the child.
• Acceptable expectations should be clearly defined and communicated to the students.
• Enforces classroom rules and school procedures
• Corrective disciplinary measures are to be positive in nature.
• Every effort is to be made to see that the child understands the reason for correction and the purpose of measures taken.
• When there is a persistent problem, parents are to be informed. Staff may be involved in the correction procedures at the discretion of the Principal.
