Description:
Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Curriculum Coordinator. This role will provide leadership in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and professional learning to enhance student success. The Curriculum Coordinator will collaborate with educators and administrators to ensure that instructional practices align with research-based methodologies and data-driven decision-making, fostering continuous improvement within Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a General Administrative or Teacher Leader endorsement preferred
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, or professional learning facilitation
- Strong knowledge of state and national learning standards
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle all district information with confidentiality
- Ability to perform assigned duties and tasks with independence
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, aligning, and implementing district-wide curriculum initiatives as outlined in the District Strategic Plan.
- Support teachers in implementing effective, research-based instructional strategies to enhance student achievement
- Analyze student performance data to inform curriculum decisions and instructional practices.
- Facilitate professional development programs, coaching cycles, and instructional support for educators.
- Stay informed about educational trends, research, and best practices to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Collaborate with district and building administrators to evaluate and refine instructional programs.
- Assist in selecting instructional materials and resources aligned with district goals.
- Lead the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) across the district.
- Oversee the district's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiatives to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with Student Support Services to align curriculum and instructional strategies, ensuring students have access to the resources and support necessary for their success.
- Work closely with multilingual teachers to support language development and access to tier 1 curriculum for all students.
- Coordinate professional development efforts in collaboration with instructional coaches.
- Oversee state assessments, establish and implement a benchmark and progress monitoring assessment system, enhance classroom assessment practices, and uphold data analysis protocols to promote instructional improvement.
- Develop and maintain curriculum maps and scope and sequence documents to ensure consistency and vertical alignment across grade levels and subject areas.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning practices.
- Perform additional duties as delegated by the Assistant Superintendent.
Salary:
- $60,000 to $80,000, based on previous experience, 10 months (200 days)
- $100,000 board paid term life insurance policy (employee only)
