Job Posting: Nashville Junior High School Band Director
Position: Junior High School Band Director
Location: Nashville Junior High School
Contract: 205 days
Responsibilities:
• Teach Music Appreciation or Choir classes.
• Co-teach beginning band classes.
• Assist with high school band program.
• Direct and oversee the junior high school band program.
• Maintain and expand upon the success rate of the program.
 
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
• State teaching certification in Music Education.
• Experience in directing junior high school band programs.
• Ability to teach Music Appreciation or Choir.
• Willingness to co-teach beginning band and assist with the high school band.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a CDL within the first year of employment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining a strong band program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and parents.
