3rd Grade Teacher for Summer School (3-4 positions)
Under the supervision of the Summer School Principal the Elementary Summer School Teacher will be responsible for team planning and teaching, development and implementation of instructional plans, supervision of support assistants and providing progress reports for each student.
Program Philosophy:
It is our belief that all children, regardless of their ability or backround, can learn at high levels. Summer school will be a basic skills instructional program that is targeted to student needs in the areas of reading, math, written language, and social skills.
Required Qualifications: Current Minnesota Elementary Teacher License
Expectations:
An understanding that there is a commitment to the whole summer school session barring unforeseen circumstances.
Teaching Dates:
June 16-18 (No school on Juneteenth), June 23-26, & June 30-July 3, 2024 (Monday – Thursday -- 8:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. prep time; 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. instructional day)
1 hour on July 3 to complete Learning Plans for each student
1/2 hour summer school staff meeting in May
5.5 hours for preparation
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $37.00 (Per Master Agreement)

- This position does not qualify for benefits unless you are already a contracted employee.
