    This is a posting for anticipated full-time vacancies for Elementary and Middle Level World Language Teachers for Spanish or Chinese Immersion teaching positions for the 2025-2026 School Year.  

    QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who are eligible or possess World Language Teacher-Spanish or Chinese certification are encouraged to apply. Applicant must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for World Language Teacher of Spanish or Chinese. Elementary level candidates must also be eligible or possess a Elementary Teacher certification. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores.

    Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License.  Applicants with one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License.  The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

    Holders of Non U.S. Credentials: If your Bachelor's or Master's degree is from a non-U.S. college or university, you are required to have your transcripts evaluated by an independent agency. The agency will translate the transcript (if translation is necessary) and determine how the coursework taken equates to coursework offered at American colleges and universities, which are regionally accredited. Even if a transcript is in English, the transcript must undergo the evaluation process. More information can be found here

    SALARY In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included. 
     
    PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
    • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
    • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
    • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following:  proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
