    Starting Pay Rate:  $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
     

     


    WHAT DO SCHOOL SAFETY OFFICERS DO?

     
    • To promote a safe and secure learning and working environments for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors.  
    • Responsible for monitoring behavior and well-being of K-12 students
    • Handling security issues in the assigned building and/or other district buildings if needed.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

     
    • Law enforcement officer (retired or inactive) who possesses legal authority to carry a firearm, as permitted by district administration, state and federal law, and qualification/indemnification criteria established by local and state law enforcement agencies
    • High School graduate or GED equivalent.  
    • Ability to pass a fingerprint criminal background check.
